Missions
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:19-20

Craig and Ada Cook have been missionaries in Spain for 36 years. The Béjar Church is the base of operations for the Cooks. Although they have ministered, mostly in church planting, extensively in Béjar, Guijuelo, Piedrahíta, Miranda del Castañar and Salamanca, they can count more than 20 cities and towns in which they have contributed. Their ministry passion is personal evangelism, and their ministry activities focus on evangelistic Bible studies in small towns along with a good quantity of discipleship and leadership development. Ada collaborates with a small Bible Institute called Proyecto Éfeso and Craig with Editorial Peregrino, a publisher of Reformed literature.
Craig is originally from Newberry, SC, and met his wife Ada in Spain. They have four adult children. Ruth is married to Chris Hylton, who works in a university ministry. Ruth teaches English and translates Christian literature. Alan teaches English in different contexts and writes Christian songs and musicals for the church. Nathan and his wife Lucy are an active part of the ministry Companion and in the Béjar church. Joshua is working on a second two-year degree and continues to do videos and editing for ministry projects as well as manage the church’s transmissions on YouTube. Craig and Ada also have a new grandchild, and they are very proud of him!
Bob and Cathi Selph are serving Christ Jesus in full time evangelism in inner-city Atlanta (since September 2015). They seek to shine the light and love of our Lord just west of Atlanta’s skyscrapers among a great population of impoverished African Americans. As they employ a variety of venues where they freely share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they are involved in, and joyfully use the fine church, East Point Church, for their work of evangelism. Both Bob and Cathi were converted to Jesus as teenagers while living in Flagstaff, Arizona. C.H. Spurgeon’s sermons had a lot to do with that. Bob was one of the pastors of GBC Taylors for many years, as well as another RBNet member church for a total of 29 years. Before that, he was on staff with two independent Baptist churches for 7 years. He also served as Missions Coordinator for Reformed Baptist Mission Services for 9 years. Being very involved in the Southern Baptist Founders movement, he wrote the book, Southern Baptists and the Doctrine of Election, which was distributed widely throughout the SBC. Bob and Cathi have been married since 1971 and have 3 grown children + spouses, and 9 grandchildren - They are so blessed to know that their children walk in the truth!

Ben & Sarah serve the Lord in Poland. They met at Bible college in the late 1990s. In those days, they were both preparing to take the gospel to unreached people groups. Just two weeks after finishing college, they were married and then were appointed as missionaries to Poland later that year. Ben & Sarah moved to Poland in the spring of 2001 with their newborn baby girl, Mikaela, who is now married and back in the States. Over the next few years, God blessed them with two more daughters, Maia and Aleyna. Maia is in college in the States and Aleyna is in high school in Poland. Over the last 24 years, they’ve had the great privilege of helping with three church plants in the cities of Krakow, Siedlce, and Łuków. In addition, a publishing endeavor has taken off with the goal of providing biblical digital and print resources in Polish.

The Spragues

Drake grew up in the Panama Canal Zone, speaks English and Spanish, and has served in Mexico, South America and Southeast Asia. While living among a remote Amazon jungle tribe, Drake was struck by the lack of ministry-relevant information available to missionaries. To help address this need, Drake pursued advanced training in research, obtaining a master’s degree in Geography with a focus on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Megan was raised in south Florida. She speaks English natively, and learned Spanish while in Mexico and Thai while serving in northern Thailand as part of a medical ministry team. Since 2010, the Spragues have served together in full time research ministry while living in southern Mexico, Panama and now, in the Upstate of South Carolina. As ALTECO Research Coordinators, the Spragues equip field teams to investigate and develop strategies to maximize the impact of their ministries. In the course of their work they conduct field research, create maps of the tribal areas, and train indigenous missionaries to participate throughout the information gathering and sharing process. Drake also works at Gospelink, where he strives to improve and expand the impact of outreach initiatives in Africa, Eurasia, and Latin America through research, mapping, social media, photography, and other materials in order to further the gospel.

Raymond and Diane are native Quebecers. Raymond is the first evangelical Quebecer who obtained a doctorate in the evangelical Christian faith in Quebec. He is a church planter in his home province. While residing in Quebec City, Raymond has helped to start several churches in the province and coordinated the establishing of the association of Reformed Baptist churches there. He has instituted regular pastoral training courses and the first Christian radio station in Quebec. They have one son, Jonathan.
Mark & Cheryl have been members of GBC or one of its Clemson church plants since their college days. Later, Mark served as a deacon, a ruling elder, and a vocational elder. While running a construction company with his brother, Mark sensed a call to ministry and went to seminary - an unusual endeavor with teenage children! After completing his seminary degree, Mark served a two-month internship with a network church. During that time, God opened a door for him to pastor an international church in eastern Asia, and he and Cheryl accepted the call. The initial two-year commitment extended to six years.
After six years, they returned to the States to resolve some health concerns. Mark co-pastored at GBC for five years during that time. He and Cheryl have now returned to the same international church in a large city in eastern Asia. They have many opportunities to share the gospel with international college students, disciple ex-pat believers in their faith, and meet and share with people among whom they live. Many servants of Christ who were a part of their earlier ministry have spread across the globe doing Kingdom work. Mark & Cheryl hope the Lord will continue to use them for a similar impact.
They have been married since 1985, have four married children, and three grandchildren.
