We don't make a division between mission in our own neighborhood, and mission half-way around the world. Here are some of our mission initiatives, both near and far.
China is unrivaled in potential global impact for the kingdom of God. In 2013, GBC Taylors commissioned the Hatfields to labor in this vital ministry context where Mark serves as Pastor of Beijing Baptist Church, an international church comprised of believers from over 20 nations.
Bob and Cathi have been commissioned as urban missionaries to Atlanta since 2015. They have moved into the neighborhood they desire to impact with the the gospel, and are active in evangelism and outreach to families, children, college students, and workers in Atlanta's sex-trade, as well as victims of abuse and others struggling with extreme poverty. They are also working to support a new church plant, Cornerstone Church, and connect members of the community to that growing congregation.
The Tohono O’odham nation is the only Native American Reservation to span two nations, the United States and Mexico. The Korties have been living and working for the gospel among the O'odham people since 2015.
The Cooks have worked in Spain supporting church plants and evangelism efforts for over 30 years. They are sent by GBC in partnership with other local churches, and with World Team Missions.
GBC contributes support to many other missionaries in contexts such as French speaking Canada, Europe, and The Far East. We are thankful to partner directly with other churches, and through Reformed Baptist Network.
