Don and Gail Donell - Church Planting, Asheville NC (and Argentina)
Don and Gail now live in Asheville, North Carolina, having also served as church planters in Carlos Paz, Argentina. The congregation they planted in Argentina constituted as a self-governing church in May of 2008 with an attendance of about 25 each Lord’s Day. The Donells' additional church planting efforts extended to San Nicolas, where Don ministered each week to a group of 10-12 believers who desire to plant a church. Furthermore, the pastoral conference ministry of “Palabra Fiel” (Faithful Word) began in October of 2004, and annually provides a forum for pastors from all across Argentina to receive theological training and ministry through preaching and books. Conference attendance has grown from fifteen the first year to fifty in 2007, and now to 80 in 2009. “Palabra Fiel” now carries more than 250 titles, distributing to pastors in Argentina and Chile, local church book tables and bible institutes. Don and Gail have three married children: Rachel, Ryan, and Amy, a 14 year old son, Ian, and three grandchildren. See more below under church planting.
