We believe the Bible and everything it says. There is no other source of information that can provide a context and interpretation of reality than the Holy Scriptures. This is God’s Word. He has given it to man. Therefore every question we have and every step we take is to be guided and driven by the Bible. How we do church, marriage, relationships, careers, understand how to handle the difficult times in life, are all are shaped by the truth of God’s Word.
Consequently in our church, all our worship services, classes, fellowships, and ministries are set up and carried out as closely as we can understand with the principles of the Bible. How a person can be made right with God in the Gospel, following Jesus in Baptism and Church Membership, and then all of God’s people joining in joyful Worship is all to be taken directly from God’s Word. Our Confession of Faith (statement of doctrine) and our Church Constitution are our best attempts to set forth and work out the teaching of the Scriptures.
