Bob Selph - Senior Pastor
pastorselph@gmail.com
Bob grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona in a committed Christian home. After his conversion before his mid-teen years, he began to develop a heart for the Gospel ministry. Bob has a B.A. degree in European history from Fort Lewis College in Colorado. While he was in college, an independent Baptist church called him as their youth pastor and later ordained him to the Gospel ministry.
During his years serving in independent Baptist churches Bob became thoroughly convinced of the doctrines of grace. He and his family spent a year in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, under the ministry of Pastor Walt Chantry.
After this time in Carlisle, Bob moved his family to Prescott, Arizona intending to start a Reformed Baptist congregation. In God’s providence he was led to Miller Valley Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist Church, where he was pastor for seventeen years, leading them to embrace the doctrines of grace. The church also joined the Reformed Baptist Mission Services (RBMS).
In June 1995 Bob accepted the call of Grace Baptist Church of Taylors, South Carolina to become their Senior Pastor. Bob spent the next three and a half years ministering there before becoming the Coordinator of Reformed Baptist Mission Services (RBMS) in January 1999. Bob led the member churches in merging RBMS into the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America (ARBCA) and served as the Coordinator of ARBCA/RBMS for over nine years. In September 2007 he was called to return to Grace Baptist Church of Taylors as Senior Pastor.
Bob & his wife Cathi have three grown children - Charity, Ben and Aaron – and seven grandchildren.
